Jack was the perfect mentor for me when I was going thru the chairs of the Virginia Beach Shrine Club. He was with me every satep of the way and came to my rescue several times. A wonderful man with a big smile.

Jack and Gladys are dear friends we met when they came to Tabernacle Church, such a hard working giving back couple, a joy to be around never a dull moment . Jack could charm anyone or anything and Gladys was there with a shake of her head. Our friend Jack will be missed. Ann and Al Henley

The Brethren of Lynnhaven Lodge No. 220, A.F. & A.M. pass along our sincerest condolences on the passing of Bro. Jack to that Celestial Lodge above. The following has been posted on the Lodge's website in memorial to Bro. Jack: "Brethren, the roll of the workmen has been called, and one Master Mason has not answered to his name. He has laid down the working tools of the Craft and with them he has left that mortal part for which he no longer has use. His labors here below have taught him to divest his heart and conscience of the vices and superfluities oflife, thereby fitting his mind as a living building for that spiritual building -- that house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. Strengthened in his labors here by faith in God, and confident in expectation of immortality, he has sough admission to the Celestial Lodge above." Prayers for comfort and peace are lifted up for you all. Sincerely & Fraternally, Wes Latchford Worshipful Master 2022 Lynnhaven Lodge No. 220, A.F. & A.M.

When I first began my Masonic Journey, Jack was one of the first brothers I met at the Pine Tree School. He was a genuine pleasure to chat with when we would have coffee and donuts at the Lynnhaven Lodge. As a VBSO retired Auxiliary myself, we had a lot in common. I shall never forget the "Memorial Boat Ride" we took with him and Gladys one summer to honor one of his family members. You can lay down your tools Brother Jack as you enter that house not made with hands. Job well done. - Roger Shope
