Obituary For Ann Bailey Crosby

With broken hearts we announce the passing of Ann Crosby on January 16, 2026. Born in England on May 24, 1949, Ann graced this world with a spirit as vibrant as the land of her birth. That English heritage, a thread woven through her being, lent a particular charm to her every gesture. It was in the lilt of her voice, the playful sharpness of her wit, and the way she greeted you with a warm "Hello, sweety" that you felt the depth of her character.

Ann's life, filled with love and laughter, was forever intertwined with the memory of her beloved husband, William “Bill” Crosby. Theirs was a love story of the ages, a bond so profound it served as a beacon for all who knew them. The solace we find in her passing is knowing she is now reunited with her Bill, her soul finally at peace.

While blood did not bind her to the Edwards family, her heart certainly did. Ann was the unwavering anchor, the one who “showed up” – not just for the joyous occasions, but for the moments of struggle and hard days. Her presence was a comforting constant, her love a steady hand guiding us through life's storms.

To be in Ann's presence was to be enveloped in her ritual of warmth: a heartfelt "Hello, sweety," a comforting hug, and a kiss on the cheek, always followed by the sincere words, "I love you," as she said her goodbyes. Her wit was legendary, sharp and unforgettable. She knew precisely when to offer a shoulder to lean on and when to playfully declare, "Aww, go suck an egg." Her honesty was as refreshing as her kindness was profound. Her love in life once extended to her cherished canine companions—Dylan, Ginger, and Almond—who were, without a doubt, treasured members of her family.

Ann spoke of her family often, her voice filled with tenderness and fondness. It is with the deepest respect and love that we, the Edwards family, extend an invitation to Ann’s relatives to connect and share memories of this extraordinary woman.
