Virginia Beach - Antoinette Byrd Hux
Antoinette (Toni) Byrd Hux, age 86 passed away June 2, 2026, at home with loved ones by her side. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ray Taylor Hux. She is survived by her son Ray T. Hux, Jr. (Kerry Fisher) of Virginia Beach and daughter Alisa Hux-Potter (Chris Smeland) of Dutton, VA. Honoring her wishes, there will be no services. She will be greatly missed!
Simply Cremation is handling the arrangements.

Deepest sympathy to Alyssa and Ray Jr. I met Toni one April day in 1973 when I walked into her insurance office to say hello to her and her boss, Agent Wesley Gray. I was offered a job as her assistant and she took me under her wing sharing with me that she had started her own career when she was my age. For 2 years she trained me and we became close. At 16 I didn't know much but I knew these things about Toni. She was very beautiful. Very feminine. She was always in a dress and heels. She had a real confidence in who she was. She was a young Mom who loved her children and loved Ray. I am forever grateful for her influence on my life and I pray for comfort to the family.
