Asteria (Terry) Sayo Brioso was born on August 10, 1935, in Manila, Philippines, and passed away peacefully at home on April 5, 2026, at the age of 90.

She dedicated many years of service to the New York City Transit Authority before retiring in 2000. After retirement, she made her home in Chesapeake, Virginia, where she lived with her daughter Victoria and her family.

Terry was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alfredo Gojol Brioso, who passed away in 1993, as well as her parents, Juliana Sayo and Alfredo Sayo. She was one of nine children, five sisters and three brothers and was the last surviving sibling among them.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Peter (Marian), Alfredo Jr (Lisa), and Victoria (Lee), as well as her seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, all of whom were a source of great pride and joy in her life.

Terry will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Her life was a testament to hard work, devotion, and love. She leaves behind a lasting legacy through the values she instilled and the many lives she touched.

A Memorial Mass for Terry is scheduled for April 24, 2026, 11AM at Saint Matthew Church, Virginia Beach.
