Barb and I worked together in the ICU at Bayside Hospital for a number of years, where our nursing team bonded together to care compassionately for those critically ill patients and their families. Barbara played an integral part in the success of that team, always with a chuckle here or there at some wry situation, and always with healing hands and heart. She will be missed, but will remain always with us in OUR hands and hearts.

Tim & Family: We are so sad to hear about Barbara! We have many cherished memories in our hearts of the Plaza Little League days with our children. I know that no words can ease the giant hole in your hearts... but... we know this life is but a training ground for the one to follow... we were created with eternity in our hearts. I pray that God will give you comfort during these very difficult days and that you know we love you all and you are in our prayers and in our hearts. Take comfort in knowing you will see her again... Please let us know if you all need anything... Love and prayers carol & ronnie rickman

I am writing this on behalf of my mom. Thank all of you for your kind words. She was an amazing, kind and wonderful women who would do anything for anyone. For all or you who supported her through her fight it did not go unnoticed. Every card, gift flowers, prayers at home and in church, phone calls, visits the list goes on and on made my mom happy and overwhelmed at the same time. She would always say she didn't know what she did to deserve all of this love and kindness and we would all have to tell her that she touched so many people and must have made a positive impact on a lot of people because she was as wonderful as she was and how she deserved every bit of the love and support she was getting. It was always so hard for her to receive anything because she was such a giver. Just so everyone knows she felt blessed. I thank all of you for that. She will be missed and her memory will stay in our hearts forever. I love you mom. Love Jenn

Jennison family, Heaven called on of its angels home. She was and forever will be loved. Even now I am willing to bet that anyone who reads this cannot help but remember a moment you had with her, and you will end up smiling. She was a loving and accepting person and as equally good a gardener. Loved her flowers and they were almost as beautiful as her. If you knew her then you were blessed to be in the company of a great mother and friends.

Tim & family, So sorry to hear about Barb. I worked with her in GI & agree with all that has been said about how caring & kind she was. I knew I could always count on her when we would get "called in" for an emergency case. I was so proud of her when she left Bayside to go to work with the school system. She will be missed by all.

I knew Barbara when we worked together in CCU at Bayside when it was owned by Humana. We were also pregnant together duriing that time. I kept in touch with her over the years when she worked in the GI department. We were part of the old timers of Bayside Hospital with Maurean, Noreen, Phyllis, Diane Carstens, Olethia, Ginny Gartrell, etc. We worked together for 7 years on the night shift. Very sorry to hear of her passing.
