Obituary For Barry Stephen Foster

Barry Stephen Foster, born on January 2, 1963, in Falls Church, Virginia, passed away on September 28, 2025, at his home in Norfolk, Virginia at the age of 62.

Barry dedicated his professional life to the construction industry where he was a respected business owner throughout his career. He contributed to the growth and development of numerous projects earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and clients alike. He continued to work and pushed through his illness until his final days.

Barry was a true horseman with a deep love of horseback riding, especially alongside his son, Chase Foster, who followed his father's footsteps and became a true and talented horseman as well. Barry was well known as the local Cowboy riding his horse throughout the cities he lived in.

He was preceded in death by his father, Austin Foster, Jr., whose memory he cherished deeply. Barry is survived by his beloved son, Chase Ashton Foster, daughter, Brooke Marie Foster, and two grandchildren, Matthew Russell Sherbert and Autumn Reign Woodard, his sister, Kelly Ann Foster, brother Lance (and Teresa) Foster, sister Micah (and James) Coad, brother Devon (and Cheri) Foster, and mother, Jacqueline Stamates.

He will be remembered for his bravery, dedication to work, keen sense of humor and deep love for his grandchildren. Barry's presence will be greatly missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. A private service for immediate family only will be held at a later date. Simply Cremation is assisting his family with the arrangements.

    May you celebrate your life and achievements in heaven. You made quite an impact on everyone you be friended in life. Never met Barrys kids but if they are anything like him and his family over thirty years ago they have awesome values and will live happily everyday. I will always cherish knowing Barry and his family to celebrate his big heart and impact on everyone's life he touched.
