Betty Ruth Austin-White, 82, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026.

Born on July 8, 1944, in Michigan, Betty was the daughter of Louise Curetan.

Throughout her professional life, Betty worked as an office manager in the legal services industry, a position requiring organization, responsibility, and dedication. Her years of work represented an important chapter in a life filled with experiences and connections.

Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald White. The years they shared remain part of her life’s story and the family history that continues beyond her passing.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Daniel Akers; two grandsons, Joshua and Jacob; and three great-granddaughters, Saimiya, Mariyah, and Kaileigh. Her love and legacy will continue through the generations of family she leaves behind, and the memories they shared will forever hold a special place in their hearts.

As family and friends remember Betty, may they find comfort in the memories that time cannot erase. While her absence will be felt, the place she holds in the hearts and history of her family will remain.
