Obituary For Bob Halman
Bosun Charles R. (Bob) Halman, age 90, was born in Wheeling WV.
He joined the Navy in June 1950. He was told that they would feed him, give him a place to sleep, and pay him. So he stayed and retired in November 1977.
He is survived by Betty, his wife of 68 years.
Also surviving are his four children - Susan, Chuck, Tracy and Tom; Six Grandchildren - Sarah, Mitchell, Jake, Garrett, Seth, and Emma; two Great Grandchildren and two on the way. Also surviving is his sister Janet Halman-Miller.
A memorial service will be held at Norview United Methodist Church, 1112 Norview Ave., Norfolk VA on Friday, Jan. 12, 2024 at 11:00 a.m.The family will receive visitors in the church social hall after the service.
His final wish is for you to just turn to the person beside you and say something nice.
“I had a good run and I have no regrets.”

Susan and Family Sending love and prayers for you all. I've heard some great stories about your dad and I think he is right....he had a full life blessed with a family that loves him! And now for my kind words-Susan has become a dear friend to me and I am lucky to have happened upon her in our library! Prayers for your mother as well as you all say goodbye to your Dad!
