Obituary For Bobby Gene Foster

Knotts Island, NC

Bobby Gene Foster age 53, passed away peacefully at home on April 23, 2011, after a long battle with lung disease. He leaves behind, Best friend, Kathy Foster, their children who were his world: Jessika Gaile Foster, 19; and Tyler Scott Foster, 15. He was pre-deceased by his parents, Billy and Helen Foster. He also leaves three brothers, Billy, Randy, and Ritch; their families and lots of nieces and nephews. Bobby worked most of his adult life at Plaza Bakery for David Freeman, who was always like a father to him, and as Jessika used to say, ?My Daddy makes all the pies.? And cakes, petit fours, and other delectable pastries. An avid backyard BBQ fanatic, Bobby spent many weekends grilling, watching the Dallas Cowboys, and rooting for the Nascar Budweiser car. It didn't matter what driver was driving it, as Budweiser was his favorite beer!

Bobby graduated from Kellam High School in Virginia Beach in 1976, where he was known affectionately as "Mr. basketball." He also attended Tidewater Community College. He loved to watch his son, Tyler play baseball, or any sports his children were involved in! He lived in the Virginia Beach area most of his life, until moving to Knotts Island a few years ago. He loved dogs, including his current dogs, Bubbles and Rose.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held this Saturday, May 7, 2011 at 3 pm Knotts Island Methodist Church. Memorial donations may be made to Jessika G Foster at Wachovia bank, acct. #1010306598124, for Jessika and Tyler's college fund and expenses.
