Obituary For Brooks W. Hall
Brooks W. Hall, 71, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home in the early morning of May 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family after a courageous three-year battle with cancer.
Born in Portsmouth, Virginia, on September 6, 1954, Brooks lived a life filled with laughter, adventure, friendship, and deep love for his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Lillian Ann Hall, and his sister, Cynthia Hall-Mobley Glowacki.
Brooks is survived by his devoted wife, Lisa P. Hall; his daughters and son in laws, Melissa and Rob Campbell, Ally and Alan Legare, and Lauren and Matthew Merritt; his beloved grandchildren, Kenley and Crew Campbell, Nash Conroy and Aiden Legare, James, Lily, and Olivia Merritt; and his sister and brother-in-law, Ann and William Heely.
Brooks treasured being a husband, dad, and grandfather above all else. Some of his happiest moments were attending his daughters’ weddings, spending time with his grandchildren, and making memories with family on vacations, cruises, camping trips, and visits to Massanutten. He loved music, animals — especially Leila and Macy — swimming pool days, Disney World adventures, and reminiscing about his travels through Europe as a teenager and his memorable California trip.
Known affectionately as “TC,” Brooks never met a stranger. A graduate from Woodrow Wilson High School and James Madison University, he cherished lifelong friendships from high school, college, and his years hanging out with AXP—especially the annual trips and reunions that brought everyone together. A lifelong technology enthusiast, he enjoyed anything related to IT. Brooks was also proudly known by family and friends as quite the “backyard farmer”.
Brooks will be remembered for his humor, storytelling, adventurous spirit, and the love he gave so freely to those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
A private celebration of life with his family will be held in the coming days. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to CHKD or an animal rescue of your choice.
Simply Cremation assisted his family. Please share memories and express condolences at SimplyCremationOnline.com.
