Carlyn Kay St John (nee Carlyn Kay McCall)
November 23, 1948 - September 29, 2024
Chesapeake- Carlyn St John, born Carlyn Kay McCall in Richmond, Virginia on November 23, 1948 lived a vibrant and multifaceted life.
Her early years saw adventures in California and Florida before the family settled in Minnesota for high school.
Carlyn’s love for the outdoors flourished while she attended the University of Utah, where she spent may cherished hours hiking and camping in the Wasatch Mountains.
Later, Carlyn returned to Virginia where she became a cornerstone of the ballroom dancing community in Virgina Beach. She was more than an instructor, she was a mentor, coach, teacher, and business owner whose influence extended far and wide. She returned to university and finished her degree in Physchology with honors from Old Dominion University.
Carlyn touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met.
She is survived by her husband, her three sons and three grandchildren. Carlyn was loved deeply and will be missed by many.
