Carol A. Lambert, of Norfolk, VA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on April 2, 2026, at the age of 76. She was born on September 25, 1949, in Malden, Massachusetts to Dorothy (Gilman) Duggan and Vincent Duggan.

In her retirement, she loved to read, watch her true crime dramas and was an avid animal lover. Throughout her life, she was known for her dedication and compassion; qualities she brought to her work as a server in an assisted living facility and several fine dining establishments. Her kind and caring nature left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ronald Lee Lambert; her mother, Dorothy (Gilman) Duggan; her father, Vincent Duggan; and her brother Russell "Butchy" Gilman. She is survived by her loving daughter, Penny Dunn (Jeff); grandchildren Brandi Boothe (Tim), and Dakota Dunn; great grandchildren Kasen Hathaway, and Levi Boothe; sister, Donna Cantone; best friend and much adored four-legged child, Journey, who will cherish her memory and carry forward her legacy of love and kindness.

In keeping with Carol’s wishes, no services are planned; friends and family are invited to remember her in their own personal way.

Carol will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Think of her every time you see a butterfly.
