Virginia Beach – Carole Jo (Biggerstaff) Wilson, born December 5, 1959, in Charlotte, NC, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2025, in Virginia Beach, VA. She was 65 years old.
Carole spent much of her life working as a bartender, where her warm presence, quick smile, and kindhearted spirit made her a friend to many. Known for her engaging personality and her genuine care for others, she left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
Beyond her work, Carole’s greatest joy came from the simple pleasures in life. She had a deep love of music, found magic in all things Disney—especially her favorite character, Dopey—and treasured every moment spent with her grandchildren. Those who knew her will remember the laughter she shared, the stories she told, and the unconditional love she gave so freely.
She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Joe Marshall and June (Knight) Biggerstaff and brother Joe Biggerstaff, Jr. Carole is survived by her loving daughter, Crystal (Mixon) Davis; her devoted sons, Chad Mixon and Cliff Mixon, her cherished grandchildren, sister Marsha Biggerstaff and many other family members and friends who will dearly miss her companionship and love.
At this time, no services are planned. Simply Cremation is assisting the family during this difficult period. Friends and loved ones are encouraged to share their memories and condolences online at SimplyCremationOnline.com.
Carole’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

My relationship with Carole began through a great friendship with her daughter, Crystal, and quickly grew when I started dating her son, Cliff. Twenty-five years later, I am blessed to be married to the love of my life and to have gained a best friend who became my sister-in-law. Carole was a true spitfire, someone who could light up a room and leave a lasting impression. We shared so many fun times and created memories I'll hold close. From countless karaoke nights and cherished holiday traditions, to her iconic white Keds, love for cleaning (and the unmistakable smell of bleach), her contagious laughter, and of course, always being late because she was busy popping a curl. Carole's spirit will forever be remembered with joy.

I've only known Carol a short amount of time. By that I mean 5 or 6 years. But it didn't me long at all to find out what kind of person she was because I met her son Chad before meeting her. He quickly became my best friend!! It was only after meeting miss Carol that I realized where he had gotten his great character! It was from her!! Carol was a firecracker back in her younger days I'm sure!! But she was always loving and caring but didn't care to tell ya exactly how she felt! I will always cherish the memories with Carol!! R.I.P hun! Much ❤️
