Obituary For Carole Musselwhite Cahoon

Chesapeake- Carole Musselwhite Cahoon, 78, passed away November 4, 2021.

Born April 5, 1943, she was the daughter of Hugh Musselwhite and Virginia Furman. Carole was a faithful servant of Jehovah since 1958. Her hope was in a resurrection into a new world under Jehovah's Kingdom, where there is no sickness, pain, or death as stated in Revelation 21:3,4.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Larry Cahoon, of Chesapeake Virginia; her daughter and son-in-law, Heather and William Shippee; three grandchildren, Stephen, Dyllan and Maria Shippee, all of Jacksonville Florida.

The family would like to offer our sincere gratitude to the staff at Oak Grove Health and Rehab for their loving care. We would also like to thank our dear friends and extended family for their heartfelt support.

A Memorial Service will be conducted at 1 pm, Saturday, November 20th, 2021 on Zoom. Please email heathershippeejaxfl@gmail.com to attend.

I remember meeting Carole when she and Larry first got married. She always stood out as a friendly, warm person and I have tried to keep in touch thru the years even though I was in Norfolk, then Ohio, then North Carolina. I will look forward to seeing her soon when all things are new. My love and thoughts go out to the family.

Carole and her family were friends of my family from the time I was very little, about 4 years old back in the 70s. I remember being at their house, hiking with them, on a museum trip, at many lunches and dinners with them. Carole was always so kind and caring, full of love and almost a second mother to me. She always had a kind smile for you and a kind word in that lovely voice of hers. I am so sad that Carole is gone but glad so many of her nice qualities were passed on to her daughter, my lifelong friend Heather. - Danny Watkins
