Obituary For Carrie Lynn Horton
Virginia Beach - Carrie Lynn (Cofer) Horton, a beloved wife, mother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 15, 2025, in her hometown of Virginia Beach, VA. She was born on February 23, 1987, in Virginia Beach, VA, and had celebrated her 38th birthday earlier this year.
Carrie's journey through life was characterized by her kindness, creativity, and an unwavering love for her family and friends. After completing high school, she pursued her passion for beauty and style by attending cosmetology school, where she graduated as a talented hairdresser and hairstylist. Over the years, she honed her skills and built a successful career, ultimately becoming a master hairstylist. Her warmth and genuine nature earned her a loyal following of clients who became dear friends.
Carrie loved the simple pleasures in life: starting her day with a good cup of coffee, enjoying concerts with her husband, and taking cherished trips to Disney World with her family and their beloved dog, Ludo. She found comfort in cozy pajamas and heated blankets, and her compassionate heart extended to fostering pit bull puppies, which often became cherished members of her family.
A lover of nature's beauty, Carrie had a particular fondness for flowers, especially peonies, which brightened her home and gardens.
Above all, Carrie was a devoted wife and mother. She leaves behind her loving parents, Ronald and Kim (Randolph) Cofer, her devoted husband of over 17 years, David Christian Horton, and their two beautiful daughters, Haven Stella, 15, and Sadie Rain, 11, whom she affectionately referred to as her "tiny humans." Carrie's warmth, kindness, and friendship touched the lives of many, including numerous family members and friends who will deeply miss her presence.
For over 20 years, Carrie was not only her husband's wife but also his best friend and confidante. Her irreplaceable spirit brought joy and love into their lives, leaving a void that can never be filled. Her husband and daughters find themselves lost without her guiding light.
