In Loving memory of Charles Phillip Clous III “Chuck”

On September 14, 2026, Charles Phillip Clous III, affectionately known as “Chuck,” passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord at the age of 67, just two days shy of his 68th birthday.

Chuck was born on September 16, 1958, in Norfolk, Virginia. He resided in Chesapeake, Virginia, with his beloved daughter, Sarah.

Chuck had a generous heart and a deep desire to give back to others. In keeping with that spirit, he chose to become a donor, continuing his legacy of helping others even beyond his lifetime.

Chuck proudly served his country as a United States Navy Veteran. His service was an important part of his life and a reflection of his dedication and strength.

He was preceded in death by his father, Charles P. Clous Sr. “Bud”; and his brothers, Scott Clous and Wes Clous and step son Joshua Gregoire.

Chuck leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory, including his daughter, Sarah Acosta and her husband, Roberto Acosta Jr.; his son, Ryan Clous; Step daughter Leah Buckler; and his grandchildren, Cameron Clous, Ariahnna Acosta, and Olivia Acosta, Tatum and Lonnie Mixon.

He is also survived by his mother, Marguerite “Sue” Clous; his sisters, Theresa Clous and Eva Richardson and her husband, Terry Richardson; and his brother, David Millmann and his wife, Louise Millmann.

Chuck was loved not only by his family, but by a large circle of friends who held him dearly in their hearts. His presence, friendship, humor, and love touched many lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Though his time with us was far too short, Chuck leaves behind a legacy of love, family, friendship, service, and generosity that will live on in those who knew and loved him.

Simply Cremation is handling the arrangements. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.

Rest peacefully, Dad. You will forever be loved, remembered, and missed.
