Charlette Wooten, born on February 2, 1955, in Tennessee, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025, in Newport News, VA, at the age of 70.

Charlette proudly served her country as a United States Army Veteran, dedicating her life to the service and protection of others. After her distinguished military career, she continued to serve in a civilian capacity as a Security Specialist, where her commitment and expertise were held in high regard by all who had the privilege to work alongside her.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, J.D. Wooten. Her legacy lives on through her children, extended family, and cherished friends who will remember her warmth, strength, and unwavering dedication to those she loved.

A service to honor and celebrate Charlette's life will be held at a later date. Those who knew and loved her are invited to join in remembering a remarkable woman whose impact was felt by many.
