Chauncey Smith, born on February 3, 1949, in Toledo, Ohio, passed away on February 22, 2026, in Newport News, Virginia, at the age of 77.

Chauncey dedicated many years working at the shipyard, contributing his skills and labor to his profession with steadfast commitment and diligence.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Chauncey and Helen Smith. He is survived by his children, as well as extended family and friends who will cherish his memory.

Services to honor Chauncey's life will be held at a later date. His family and friends will gather to celebrate and remember his life, legacy, and the moments they shared together.
