Obituary For Clarence Everett Crockett

Norfolk- Clarence Everett Crockett, 90 years old, passed away on August 28 in his home after months of fighting to remain with his loving wife of 47 years, Jill Crockett. He is also survived by his first daughter, Terri Bruffy, his second daughter, Rachel Crockett and her husband and devoted son-in-law Chris Julian, his grandson, Christopher Bruffy and his wife Anna Bruffy, his granddaughter Natalie Bruffy VanVranken and her husband Brian VanVranken, and one great-grandchild, Kasey VanVranken.

He was the youngest of six children of Katie and David Crockett, a Chesapeake Bay waterman. Clarence was a lover of music, history and astronomy. These interests and his career in electronics reflected his endless quest for knowledge.

In lieu of flowers, Clarence would like donations sent to Operation Blessing.

    Clarence, being 15 years older, was somewhat of hero of mine in my very young years. I asked my parents if I could change my name to Clarence. The picture used here has been the visual memory of Uncle Clarence all these years. I am so glad I got to see him just a few years ago.
