Obituary For Claudia Irene Shafer

Claudia Irene Shafer, 71, passed away comfortably at home on May 23rd, 2021 surrounded by loving family. Born on June 2nd, 1949 to the late George & Mattie Carter both of Greensboro, NC. She was predeceased by 1 brother (Grady), 5 sisters (Bobbie, Georgie, Ivry, Dean and Betty), and her grand-son Austin Evans. She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, John Shafer, sister Becky Michaux, daughters Cindy Evans, Candi Atkins (Jeff), Emily Sessoms (Brian), grand-children Josh Atkins (Casey), Dalton Evans; and great grandchildren Hunter & Levi Atkins. Claudia was a devoted wife & loving mother. She was an interesting woman of many tastes. She enjoyed gambling, Michael Jordan, Judge Judy & Wrestling. A celebration of her life will be held on June 13th, 2021 at 8132 Cavern Court Norfolk, VA 23518 at 2:00pm.
