Clifford N. Rosen passed away on Thursday March 20, 2025, at The Devonshire located in Hampton, Virginia. He was 87 years old. Cliff was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa on December 31, 1937, to Erik Ragnar and Esther Shedden Rosen (nee Scott). He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, the Reverend Edgar Rosen, Norman Rosen, Dan A.
Rosen, and sisters, Carrie Rosen Hamann, and Donna Rae Rosen Sexton. He is survived by his brother Joel Q. S. Rosen and sister Judith K. Rosen Poffenbarger.

Cliff graduated from Marion High School in 1956. He qualified for a full 4-year scholarship to attend Virginia Tech from General Motors. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in Physics in 1960. After finishing college he accepted a position in Aiken, SC with Savannah River Nuclear Solutions.

From there he got a job teaching in Columbia, SC, where he met his loving wife, Alice. They were married in October 1962 and moved to Hampton, VA, where he accepted a position with the Newport News Ship Building as a patent examiner for 30 plus years. They lived in Hampton for most of their 60-year marriage and were actively involved in the community. Both Cliff and Alice were very involved with the community theater group, and the local library functions. Cliff was involved with reading for the blind, bike repair for local charity, and overseas travel. He loved his Alfa Romeo Giulia and his Pontiac GTO. They both loved their dogs, Pricilla, Dickens, and Lulu.
