Obituary For Dani Lee Farmer

Knotts Island, NC - Dani Lee Farmer, 56, of Knotts Island, NC, went home to be with the Lord on January 11, 2026, peacefully surrounded by her family. She lived life boldly, faithfully, and always to the beat of her own drum- a rhythm that brought joy, laughter, and authenticity to everyone who knew her.

Born on March 6, 1969, Dani was truly one of a kind. Dani trusted deeply in God’s promises, and she understood life as a gift meant to be lived fully and without apology.

A lover of horses, open skies, spontaneous adventures and the Spirit of the West, Dani felt most at home around horse riding, western films and being at the racetrack with her son and grandsons. Those passions reflected her free spirit- strong, independent, and endlessly curious. When not immersed in the thrill of the outdoors or a good western, Dani could often be found laughing at episodes of Seinfeld, finding joy in life’s small, perfectly timed moments. She also loved the simple pleasure of good company- often spending time with friends over a cold beer, sharing stories and laughter, or setting off on spur-of-the-moment adventures that became cherished memories.

Dani had a way of being unapologetically herself- never following the crowd, always staying true to who God created her to be. That uniqueness was a gift, and those who loved Dani cherished it deeply.

She is survived by her mother, Deborah Bradshaw, her son Ryan (Lisa) Farmer, and her grandson’s Shawn and Seth, along with many more family members and friends, who will carry forward her spirit, humor, and fearless individuality. She was preceded in death by her father, Ivey “Dan” Bradshaw.

Though our hearts ache in Dani’s absence, we rejoice knowing she is now riding free, at peace, and reunited with loved ones in God’s eternal embrace.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 28, 2026, at Dani’s Knotts Island home (more details to come). In keeping with Dani’s spirit, all are welcome to come as they are and celebrate a life lived with heart, laughter, and a life uniquely hers.

    Dani's father and I were neighbors and best friends since the 6th grade at Courthouse Elementary. Knowing Dani since her birth makes this so heartbreaking. As a baby girl she would come ride our pony. I so hoped she would win this battle. She now rest in Gods healing hands. Amen.
