Obituary For Daniel Russell (D.R.) Pulley, Jr.

Daniel Russell (D.R.) Pulley, Jr. went home to be with his Savior on Jan. 1, 2014. He passed peacefully surrounded by family. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Judy; son, Russell, III; son, Randy and his wife Leigh Ann; daughter, Cheryl Tomlin and her husband, Warren; 8 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and numerous extended family & friends.
D.R. lived a full and happy life and was much loved. One of his greatest pleasures in life was singing bass in the church choir and with his "Friendly Four" gospel quartet.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Sat., Jan. 4, 2014 at Great Bridge United Methodist Church, with a reception immediately following.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that remembrances be left to the Music Department at Great Bridge United Methodist Church, 201 Stadium Drive, Chesapeake, VA 23322.

D.R. and I worked together several years ago. I am sorry to learn of his passing. One of the things I remember about him was his great sense of humor. His was a fine fellow. My sincere sympathy to his family. Ann Hux Fentress

Oh there are so many fond memories of DR and the Pulley family growing up on the ball field together. DR was always fun to be around with his easy going personality. I am sorry for his loss and am thinking of you all.
