Obituary For Darrius Jahvon Rose
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Darrius Rose, who left us on February 24, 2026, at the age of 32 in Virginia Beach, VA. Darrius was born on January 21, 1994, to April Icey and James Treadwell in Charleston, WV.
Darrius was a light in every room he entered. Known for his kindness, respect, and gentle spirit, he carried himself with a quiet strength that made people feel safe and valued. He was a loving protector especially growing up in a family full of women. As a son, brother, fiancé, father, nephew, and friend, he showed up with loyalty, warmth, and unwavering love. His smile, his presence, and the way he cared so deeply for those around him will never be forgotten.
He is survived by his devoted mother, April Rose; his loving sisters, Tabatha, Aleahia, and Kiaunte; his cherished fiancé, China Pham-Rose; his beloved children, Chaz Washington, Iliyana Rose, and Israel Rose; and his stepson, Isaiah Hicks and god child Remy. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, extended family members, and friends as well as the (chosen family )he created in Virginia who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.
Darrius was preceded in death by his father, James Treadwell.
To know Darrius was to love him. Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the love he gave so freely and the memories that will live on through all of us. His legacy will continue through his children and through every life he touched.
From his sister, Aleahia:
He wasn’t just my brother ,he was my twin in this life. We grew up side by side, going through everything together, always protecting each other no matter what. If I needed him, he was there. If something was wrong, he felt it. We didn’t even have to explain ourselves we just understood each other. That was my built in best friend, my defender, my comfort. Losing him feels like I lost a part of my own heart. I’m going to miss the way he showed up for me, the way he cared without even saying much he just showed it ! He was such a great uncle to my kids ! I’m so proud to be his sister. I’ll carry him with me in everything I do, for the rest of my life. Forever screaming LONG LIVE DROSE !
Simply Cremation is assiting Darrius's family with the arrangements.
