David "D.C." Thornton

David "D.C." Thornton, 63, passed away on May 6, 2014.

Born in Mathews County, VA, he was the son of the late William and Hilda Thornton.

Survivors include his daughter, Heather Schreiber.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 14, 2014, at St. Johns Baptist Church, 2300 Holland Road, Virginia Beach, VA 23453.

A Reception will follow the service at 1248 Hickman Arch, Virginia Beach, VA 23454.

d.c. was my senior class president.i didnt hang with him a lot but we got along great;as most did with him.so sorry to hear of his passing.my condolences and sympathy to the family.hes in a better world now where hes playing on gods football team.

I was a member of the class of 1970 same as D.C. He was our class president. Lost track of him over the years. I was so sorry to learn of his death. He was always such a good friend to everyone, so outgoing,always left you feeling better and great athlete. Please accept my deepest sympathy and know you--his family are in my thoughts and prayers.
