Chesapeake, VA – David Earl Gardner, Sr., a devoted family man and skilled professional, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2026, in Chesapeake, Virginia. He was born on April 8, 1964, in Portsmouth, Virginia, and was 61 years old.

David was the beloved son of Patsy (Craun) Gardner and the late Norwood Gardner. He was the loving husband of Mary K. Gardner and a proud father to his daughters, Alyssa Fones (Carson) and Ashley Fisher (Kaleb), and a cherished grandfather to Bradie and Kolton. He was preceded in death by his son, David “Turtle” Gardner, Jr., and was a beloved brother of Lori Gardner and the late Cynthia “Cindy” Craft.

David built a respected career in HVAC, where his skill, dedication, and strong work ethic earned the admiration of both colleagues and clients.

Above all, David will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family. His warmth, kindness, and steady presence touched many lives and created lasting memories that will be treasured by all who knew him.
