Obituary For Debra Ann Rogers

Virginia Beach, VA - Debra Ann Rogers

The measure of a life is often found in the small, everyday moments—offering a helping hand, sharing a kind word, or making someone smile. Debra Ann Rogers lived that kind of life.

Debra passed away on July 28, 2026, at the age of 67. Born on May 15, 1959, in Memphis, Tennessee, she spent much of her working life serving her community as a customer service clerk in the grocery industry. To many, she was a familiar face whose warmth and friendliness brightened an ordinary trip to the store.

Her greatest joy was her family. She is lovingly survived by her two sons, Tyler Morgan Rogers and Jeffrey Payton Rogers, who will forever carry the love, lessons, and memories she shared with them. Debra was also the daughter of Alvin L. Goodwin and Gertrude A. Stearns.

Outside of work, Debra embraced life with enthusiasm and curiosity. She enjoyed long bike rides, photography, collecting Pokémon cards—especially anything featuring Pikachu—and spending time at concerts, airshows, and out fishing. These simple pleasures brought her happiness and created countless cherished memories with those she loved.

She leaves behind a lifetime of quiet acts of kindness and a legacy that reminds us how much simple compassion can mean. Though her journey has ended, her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her.

Services will be announced by the family at a later date.

Simply Cremation is assisting the family with arrangements.
