Hampton - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Debra Ward Brown, who departed this life on July 20, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on November 17, 1959, in Hampton, Virginia, Debra remained a lifelong resident of her beloved hometown, where she also passed away.

Debra was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Viona (Holloway) Ward, and her devoted husband, Deane Harrison Brown. Her memory will be cherished by her daughter, Kimberly Teague, her sons, Deane Brown & Robert Brown, her grandchildren, Alek, Cameron, Rylee, Aliyah and Scarlett, her partner, James Sladek and a host of other family members and friends who were touched by her presence.

Debra graduated from Poquoson High School. She was a lover of animals, but her greatest love was her family, especially her children and grandchildren all of whom will dearly miss her.
