Norfolk - Dona Lea (McManus) Morton, born on July 12, 1939, in Norfolk, Virginia, passed away peacefully in her hometown on August 1, 2025, at the age of 86.

Dona was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Jackson Ray and Mary (Bland) McManus. She is survived by her devoted son, Gary Morton (Cary McRae Petzinger), her beloved granddaughter Dakota Rae Morton, her dear friend Loraine Honeycutt, and her loving canine companion Chester, along with other cherished family members and friends who will remember her fondly.

Throughout her life, Dona was fiercely independent. She was devoted to her family, friends, and loving pets. After her retirement, she enjoyed a quiet life surrounded by loved ones.

Dona's family is deeply grateful for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. In accordance with her wishes there will be a private celebration of her life including friends and family.

Dona will be dearly missed, she will live forever in our hearts.
