Obituary For Donna Lynne (Myers) Weatherstine

Chesapeake, VA - It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Donna Lynne (Myers) Weatherstine, on May 15, 2026, in Chesapeake, Virginia, at the age of 59. Born on September 11, 1966, in Baltimore, Maryland, Donna graced the lives of those around her with warmth, kindness, and an unwavering dedication to her family and work.

Donna was a cherished daughter to the late Jimmie and Linda (Thompson) Myers. Her life was marked by perseverance and devotion, both in her personal and professional endeavors. She managed multiple retail jobs, became ordained to marry and even worked at a funeral home. She always joked, “I can marry you and bury you!” More recently her occupation was caring for her son, Timothy Weatherstine. Now, her final and most important role includes a halo.

She was united in marriage to the late Peter A. Weatherstine, with whom she shared a beautiful journey of love and companionship until his passing. Donna was a loving mother to her daughter, Sarah V. Weatherstine and her son, Timothy Weatherstine, who remains her proud and enduring legacy.

Donna also leaves behind a granddaughter, two sisters, many nieces and nephews, along with a circle of devoted friends who will miss her dearly.

A memorial will be held honoring her memory, May 30th at 8 Chippewa Trail in Portsmouth. Arrangements for cremation have been entrusted to Simply Cremation, who is assisting Donna's family during this difficult time.

Very sweet lady I meet her in passing

I'll always remember her reaching out to me when I was 16 with such kindness and genuine care. If it wasn't for her, I probably never would have met my father's side of the family, or at least not as early as I did, if at all. It meant so much to have her and the rest of you come to my wedding, made me feel so loved. You all made me feel like I had known you all for forever and instantly like family. I will forever cherish the memories I had with her and will miss her deeply. ❤️

Sarah & Timothy, you and your family became like my own many years ago running together during and after school... we have grown our own individual bonds and your mom touched my heart in such a beautiful way! I always loved how she showed up for cookouts or my kids birthday parties with you! I will miss seeing her face and miss her dearly too! Take deep breaths, grieve however that looks like for you taking your time, know she is no longer is pain and you will forever have a sweet guardian angel! I love you and the family and send my deepest condolences! Always here!
