Obituary For Donna Sue Farris

Donna Sue Farris, 57, a resident of Chesapeake, Virginia and a life-long Connecticut native passed away after a brave struggle with cancer. Donna enjoyed the beauty of natural life and spent many years working amongst plants while supervising a garden center. She was a passionate animal champion and enjoyed the company of many throughout her life; most of which she rescued from shelters. At the end, her Cocker Spaniel Charlie was at her side keeping mom brave and comfortable. Donna was a kind spirit and a gentle soul that will be remembered fondly by those that knew her in life. She was a loving Aunt to Travis, Ashley, Michael, Ryan, Meghan, Abigail and Owen as well as a beloved Daughter, sister, sister-in-law, cousin and niece. She is preceded in death by her mother, Elaine and is survived by her Father, Ken and her sisters Teri and Kelly and her brothers Kevin and Shawn. God bless you Donna as you embark on your journey through the beautiful silver and blue fields of light you spoke of on Thanksgiving Day. We will miss your warm spirit, gleeful laugh and compassionate nature. We love you.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grace Hospice Caring, Healing, Remembering of Virgina.

I am so sad to see you leave us so soon. I learned more about you and your heart, ironically, through Facebook. My heart is broken. Sadness is not a big enough word to express how I feel. I shall miss your words, your kindness, your inspirational thoughts, eveytime I open my Facebook page. Use your new health, happiness, wisdom and angel wings to watch over us, guide us to protect the unprotected pets - and stay happy up there in heaven. Much love and condolences to those closest to you. Goodbye for now, my friend. Until we meet again.

My sincerest sympathies to you all. I have many fond memories of Donna from my youth and even more from later years. She was a one of a kind with a free spirit and kind nature. I sat in awe of her courageous always positive attitude as she fought her long battle. She was an inspiration to me. There will be a definate hole in this world without her kind loving spirit in it. She will be greatly missed. Heaven has received a true angel. Hope you are soaring free Donna. Much love and prayers to you Kelly, Bob, Kevin, Angela, Teri, Shawn and Dad Farris.
