Donnie you are no longer here on this earth with us, but you will always be in our hearts. We have had so many beautiful times together. I will always cherish the moment on how you proposed to your beautiful wife Cynthia right at my house on Warner St. In Hamden, CT. How we all use to travel together back in the day. You will definitely be missed. May all of the beautiful memories forever linger in our hearts. You are definitely missed with all of us that loved and knew you. Love Verna & Family

Thank you Donnie for being a part of our immediate family for 30 years. It was a rough beginning for you and I but overtime GOD surely changed my heart about you. You definitely grew on me and I accepted you fully with so much love throughout the years. We've had many wonderful conversations. You loved Tavonna unconditionally. You were in her life since her birth. You were very encouraging when she became sick and even gave me an encouraging song I will never forget "Hold On Old Soldier" by the Mississippi Mass Choir. That song indeed helped me through that difficult time and still does. Thank you for being my bonus father, We will love you always and cherish the many memories we have of you. Until we meet again....your daughter and granddaughter....Tira & Tavonna

We will surely miss Donnie. He was a man after God's heart. He sacrificed and put his family first, over and above his own desires. He cared so much about our family, often visiting my Mom and checking on her virtually every day. He trusted in the Lord's plan for his life. Even when he knew life was going to be shortened, he never lost faith that God's plan was for him to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to show love and kindness.

Well my dear brother, you fought a good fight of faith up to your very end. I will miss hearing your stories, your laughter, and your movie suggestions. Most of all your presence and your words of wisdom. You've left us so many wonderful memories. May God give us all comfort, while keeping us in his care forever. Donnell and Dearvon Peoples

My family and I want to express our deepest sympathy for the loss of your dear loved one. The pain of losing someone we love dearly is not something that our Heavenly Father ever intended for us to have to experience. He has promised to bring an end to all suffering including death (Revelation 21:4; Isaiah 25:8). He has also promised that he will resurrect those who have died and we will be reunited with our loved ones again (Acts 24:15; John 5:5,28,29). We hope that as you read these scriptures you will find a measure of comfort at this time of your grief. For other thoughts of encouragement and comfort please visit JW.ORG. Again your family has our sincere condolences.
