Doris Frances Swanton, 95, passed away on May 24, 2022, in Newport News, Virginia. She was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Jack Swanton, for 74 years. They came to the United States, where both daughters were born. She raised her family in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she worked 25 years in the Kroger Accounting Department. Among other things, she enjoyed knitting- both caps for newborn babies and gifts for friends. She moved to the Arbors in Newport News in 2017. She loved and treasured everyone there. She was thoughtful, generous, and a social butterfly. She is survived by her two daughters and four grandchildren, who will miss her smile, good humor, and vibrant personality.
