I feel truly blessed to have known Stan, he made such an impact on my life and so many around him. Stan taught me what it means to be a researcher, perpetually excited for what was possible, during my time in Structural Dynamics Branch; he gave me such rich perspective on the research culture that has clarified my thinking in many challenges I've faced since then. Stan has also been an inspiration to my sons and their friends - I have shared his story of being an accomplished researcher with numerous patents, publications and national awards and still putting Eagle Scout at the top of his personal accomplishments list with so many young people. And Stan also taught me about work/life balance, as I recall fondly catching Stan and his lovely bride smooching like teenagers in Costco one Saturday morning (I still smile every time I pass the Costco electronics aisle). I will miss Stan, but know he continues to inspire us all.

Stanley Woodard was a colleague and friend. We worked together to commercialize several of his numerous inventions. After I retired, it was Stan who kept in touch. He often talked about his wife Marie and how she was a trooper who enjoyed the outdoors as much as he. I last spoke with him via telephone. He told me then that his health challenge had begun anew. He was hopeful and so was I. I am deeply saddened by his transition. I will miss my dear friend.

Stan was a good friend and co-worker. We worked together for over twelve years and turned out many patents and received many awards. Stan made work fun and exciting. He was so enthusiastic, it rubbed off on you just being around him. He loved to tinker and experiment with new ideas which led to all of those patents and awards. Stan, you have enriched my life and I feel I am a better person having known you for the many years we worked together.

Dear Dr. Woodard, In your office, you encouraged me -- "Too many told you, you can't this, you can't that. YOU, yourself shouldn't be one of them. You should be the one DO it and prove that all of them are wrong!" In the lab, you taught me --"Just DO It! You can prove a concept within hours by experiments and it takes others years to study the theories" In the phone, you called me--"Chuantong, don't be to too hard to yourself. Don't spent all your time on work, you need have a life and enjoy your life" Before vacation, you told me--"Even you resident here permanently, you should take it as a short visit--go out to see different places on weekends." Eary monirning 2 am, I got an idea and could not help to send you an email to share. In a nimunte, I got your response!!! Dr. Woodard, I am not continuing my journey without you because you are always with me. Your spirit poured into my blood. Your work, your spirit and your impact last forever.
