Myself, Doug Leland, Ron Bowman, Thom Tesoriero, and Bill Montgomery are riding our bicycles across America, from Astoria, OR, to Annapolis, Md, to honor our deceased classmates from the Class of '73, United States Naval Academy. Today it was my honor and privilege to wear Dwight's tag. After every day we pay tribute to one or more of our Brothers whom have passed on. Their tag is then fixed to a chain which we will display at our 50th Reunion in Annapolis upon our arrival, October 5, 2023.

Dwight was my sponsor when I arrived at my first operational squadron (VP-17). No one could have been more supportive and welcoming. For the next two and a half years Dwight was my mentor, confidant, role model, and friend. He was one of the finest men I have ever known and leaves behind a remarkable legacy. He will truly be missed.

Dwight was a wonderful, God loving, and kind man. I worked with him for many years at Capital Group, as well as through the Union Mission. He was always smiling, serving, and helping. What a blessing he was to so many. My thoughts and prayers are with his wife, Susan, and their family. May God surround you with his peace and comfort during this difficult time.

Dwight, Sue and I went to a Chicago concert in the Harrisburg Arena while we we're Midshipmen. Surely we couldn't hear much of the concert in that old facility but still a great time had by all. That was the memory for me as Dwight was the kind of guy you wanted to spend time with, a special person, may he rest in peace.

On behalf of the Bishopsgate community, where Dwight lived more than a dozen years up until 2010, we mourn the loss of a great guy. He was president of our civic league 1998-1999, and then stepped up to repeat for another two years in 2004 and 2005. Thank you Dwight for your leadership and service. -Jim Hagerty

I was sorry to hear of Dwight's passing. What great guy; always a pleasure to work with. Praying for you, Sue and your daughter.

What a friendly, kind and funny person, always smiling. I remember him saying his daughter scolded him for not doing her homework in a timely manner. We attended the same Church together. I once helped him at Union Mission take apart some donated old wardrobe cabinets from the Navy. I built ladders for the top bunks in the family shelter as well as guard rails to prevent rolling out of bed using the salvaged materials. He will be greatly missed.

Dwight was not only a work colleague for 15 years, but an avid golf buddy. Our many golf trips to Myrtle Beach is a great memory of our friendship. Hit 'em straight and long in heaven my friend.
