It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved brother, Edmund Roy Waples, who departed this life on November 9, 2023. He was 67 years old. Glue, as he was fondly called by friends and family, was born on January 10, 1956. Predeceased by his father, John Ed Waples and mother, Elizabeth Waples, George Waples, brother, William Waples, brother, and Cornelius Henry, sister.

Edmund spent a lifetime working as mobile vehicle mechanic through- out the lower east coast. He would often do repairs at cost or free to those who could not pay. During his last ten years of work, he was a parts puller and salesperson for Pick and Pull Virginia Beach Virgina.

He leaves behind seven siblings, Gertrude Kollock of Millsboro, DE, John Waples (Princella) Selbyville, DE, Joseph Waples (Ola) Georgetown DE, Bradford Waples (Debra) Lincoln, DE, Edward Waples, (Belinda) Milton DE, Melchisdec Waples (Jacqualine) Seaford, DE, and Felisa Hazzard (Granville) Lincoln, DE. He leaves behind one special friend who was with him until the end, Teresa Vann, Portsmouth Virginia.

He leaves behind several known children, Cherrena Waples, Seaford, DE, Tonicka Waples Harbeson, DE, Tangie Ray Washington (Larry) Memphis, TN, Garith Howel Lincoln, DE, Yvette Hendrieth (Reginald), Edmund Waples Jr., Portsmouth, VA, and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He will be missed by family and friends.
