  In my 40+ year medical career, I have benefitted from many excellent teachers. Beau was very careful physician and a lifelong student of medicine. The most impressive thing I got from Beau was attitude. If I ever asked for a favor (like a call switch) he would interrupt â??Can you...â??, with â??Sureâ?? before I could complete the request. Wow! What an infectious attitude!

  My condolences to Pat and the Hodge family. I met Beau 44 years ago. At first, he was my teacher and mentor. I was honored to be his associate in practice until my retirement. Beau was the classic gentleman physiciann, always calm, helpful and courteous to all.

  I've been fortunate to be a guest in Pat's and Beau's home every December when they invited the Women of St. Andrew's to come for a wonderful Christmas lunch. I have happy memories of these events, and I will surely miss seeing Beau, and I'll miss being welcomed by him into his home.
