In Loving Memory of Eligio “Elio” Rotilio

February 14, 1950 to August 1, 2025

Virginia Beach - With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of Eligio “Elio” Rotilio on August 1, 2025, at the age of 75. A beloved husband, proud father, devoted Nonno, adored baby brother, and cherished friend, Elio's presence brought warmth, joy, and laughter to everyone lucky enough to know him.

Beloved son of Mario and Matilde Rotilio (Piccinini). He is survived by his loving wife, Linda Rotilio (Jenosheck); his twin daughters Antonella Rotilio (Salvo Mule), Claudia Rotilio (Dan Rinelli); his son Mario Rotilio (Shannon Wickland), His beloved grandchildren, Eric and Matthew (Vitello), Nicholas Rocco (Peters), and Alexandria and Julia Rotilio. His sisters, Adriana Pimpo (Rotilio), and Pina Rotilio (Ianni), and his brother, Enzo Rotilio. Also, many nieces, nephews, and cousins, here in the U.S., Italy and Canada.

Born on Valentine’s Day, Elio had a heart as big as his personality. He was affectionately known as “Papa”, a name that captured his love for family, his protective spirit, and the comfort he brought into every room. He lived for his family and celebrated every moment he could with them, from parties and weddings to graduations and beach days. He never missed a milestone, and he made even the simplest moments feel like a celebration.

Elio was full of life and energy. He loved to cook, shop, travel, and most of all, be surrounded by the people he loved. Whether he was hosting a feast in the kitchen, dancing at a family wedding, or soaking up the sun on the beach, Elio lived with passion and purpose. He had a way of making everyone feel like family, and his laughter and joy were truly infectious.

To know Elio was to love him. His zest for life, his generous heart, and his unwavering love for his family will remain his greatest legacy. He was the light of our lives, and though our hearts are heavy, we are grateful for every moment we shared.

He will be remembered always, with love, with laughter, and with deep gratitude for the beautiful life he lived.

Elio’s services will be held on Saturday, August 16th from 2:00 to 6:00 PM at Lombardo Funeral Home, 3060 Abbott Road, Orchard Park, NY 14127.
