Virginia Beach, VA – Elijah Cole Yaba, age 21, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, passed away on October 10, 2026.

Born on September 15, 2005, in Norfolk, Virginia, Elijah was a cherished son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend whose presence brought joy, laughter, and love to everyone fortunate enough to know him.

Elijah had a deep love for dinosaurs, Legos, and spending time with his family. Though he faced significant physical challenges throughout his life, he met them with remarkable strength, resilience, and an enduring sense of humor. He had a special gift for making people laugh and a heart that was filled with love for those closest to him.

He is lovingly remembered by his father, Michael Yaba, with whom he shared a special bond as they affectionately called each other "Buddy"; his mother, Annette Yaba, who loved him beyond measure; his stepmother, Regan Yaba, whose devotion and care enriched his life; his beloved sister, Mackenzie Gregg, lovingly known as his "Sissy"; his grandparents; his aunts, uncles, cousins; and the many friends who became family and will miss him dearly.
