Virginia Beach, VA - Elizabeth Robertson Brown “Libby,” born on July 19, 1944, in New York, New York, passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

Libby was a distinguished member of the hospitality industry, where she excelled as a Resort Owner. Throughout her career, she demonstrated exceptional leadership and dedication, earning respect and admiration from colleagues and guests alike.

She was a remarkable woman whose contributions to the world of furniture design have left an indelible mark. As the cofounder of This End Up furniture company, she played a pivotal role in shaping the industry with her innovative vision and unwavering dedication. Her legacy is one of creativity and entrepreneurship, inspiring those who follow in her footsteps.

Libby achieved a Bachelor's Degree, which laid the foundation for her successful career. Her commitment to excellence and her passion for the hospitality industry as well as the furniture industry left a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of working with her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, William and Tatum (Smith) Robertson, and her first husband, Stewart Brown. Libby is survived by her devoted husband, James "Will" Crell, and her cherished children, son, Stew Brown and daughter, Ellison Caplice, as well as 8 grandchildren along with numerous other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
