Obituary For Elizabeth Simmons
NORFOLK, VA
Elizabeth "Betty" Simmons
On Sunday, September 18, 2011 our loved one Elizabeth "Betty" Simmons quietly slipped into eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her son, Daniel William Simmons. She leaves behind two daughters, Amanda Curry and husband Gary Curry, and daughter Diana Hatchell. She also leaves behind her very special, loving grandson, Dustin Simmons and his girlfriend Whitney Grandstaff. As well has her granddaughter Danielle Simmons and grandson William Hatchell. Betty was very close with her special friends Joann Ellis and Michelle and Rocky Taylor.
A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Monday, September 26, 2011 at Norview Baptist Church 1127 Norview Avenue, Norfolk, Virginia, 23513. Pastor Mike Smith will officiate.
Arrangements are being handled by Simply Cremation, Virginia Beach.

I was fortunate to meet Betty when she worked at the BeLo store on Bayview Blvd. Of course I knew her girls because my daughter grew up with them. We are all better for having known her and her smile. Sweet dreams, Betty.

I am so sorry Betty is gone. I have known Betty since I was seven years old. I saw Betty last in front of her house on Jennifer Street. I am sorry I never saw her again. She was a hard worker & loved her pets. I know in heaven Betty is caring for the animals. Peace is with you now Betty
