Obituary For Ellen Marie Lucas
Ellen M. Lucas, 67, passed away July, 31, 2019. She was a retired Lieutenant for Old Dominion University Police Department, and was a recipient of several prestigious service awards. Ellen was a real down to earth person. She was funny, caring, very generous and was always thinking of how to make others happy. She loved Christmas, stand up comedy, nature documentaries and good Italian food!
She was proceeded in death by her parents Robert R. Lucas and Lillian L. Lucas. Survived by her son Christopher Kepics wife (Jennifer) Brothers Robert Lucas (Cynthia) Lawrence Lucas (Holly) Sister Tracy Edwards (Glenn) Nieces and Nephews Alexis (Charles), Jason, Amanda (Dean), Mary, grand Nephews, Braylon, Tiernan and Dean V. She will be missed by so many especially some of her very close friends which include Gayle Fudge, Sue Roberts and Marsha Jones.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Oh my friend, I miss you and the silly fund times we had and being roommates for over 15 years leaves a lot to say about our relationship. I have the clowns and they are in a special place being well taken care of - that was our pact. I love you with all my heart and I miss you so much but we will see each other again and go over funny stories that we enjoyed. My heart is with you!

I'm still speechless, and so sorry we didn't get to say good-bye. We had a 50-year friendship that started in our teens to post-retirement. You were the life of the party, I'm going to miss you my friend. My condolence to everyone in your family, who also became my family. May you rest in peace, until we meet again.
