Suffolk - Emmett Duncan Edwards II, born on November 18, 1945, in Newport News, Virginia, passed away peacefully at home in Suffolk, Virginia, on March 21, 2025, at the age of 79.

Emmett was a dedicated torch operator throughout his working years, known for his strong work ethic and commitment to his craft. He spent his career contributing diligently to his field, earning the respect and admiration of those who worked alongside him.

Emmett is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Emmett and Pearl (Gaffney) Edwards. He leaves behind a loving cousin, Clifford Parraway Sr; aunt, Susanna Edwards Maddox, along with many friends and extended family who will remember him fondly.

At this time, no services are planned. Emmett will be remembered for his quiet strength and unwavering presence, leaving behind cherished memories that will be held dear by those who knew him.
