Florence Agnes Gyori died Monday, November 7, 2016 at Autumn Care of Chesapeake, VA, after complications from a stroke.

Born in 1930 in Scranton, PA, Florence grew up surrounded by a large family of brothers and sisters. As part of her Polish heritage, she fondly reminisced of her years polka dancing. Her great love was fishing with her husband and son, which she did well into her eighties. She adored spending time with family, eating delicious meals, and telling stories of her youth.

Florence "Flo" is survived by her husband of 49 years, Mihaly "Mike" Gyori, two sisters, Stella Kusy and Gladys Petroski, three children, Stanley Filipak, Rosemarie Leydon, and Michael Gyori, daughter-in-law, Kathleen Gyori, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at 11:00 am at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 621 Cedar Rd., Chesapeake, VA 23322, with a reception to follow in the church hall.
