Chesapeake, VA - Florence Beasley Sondys, age 85, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026, in Chesapeake, Virginia. She was born on February 21, 1941, in Louisburg, North Carolina, to the late Owen and Beatrice (Puckett) Beasley. Florence was one of six siblings, and enjoyed a lifetime of love, camaraderie, travel and joy with her family.

She was a deeply faithful woman who placed Jesus first in her life. Her commitment to her faith and her unwavering beliefs bring comfort to her family now.

Florence dedicated many years of her life as an office administrator in the insurance and manufacturing fields. Her dedication and commitment to excellence were admired by colleagues and friends alike. She pursued her education diligently, earning an associate’s degree, as well as many current certifications which were a testament to her perseverance and love for learning.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Florence was a devoted mother to her daughter, Martha Kennedy, who survives her (Kevin Kennedy) and was preceded in death by her son, David Ross (Pamela Ross.) She was also blessed with 7 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren. Florence's kind heart and lively spirit touched those around her. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
