Obituary For Fred Thomas Woodard Jr.

Newport News, VA - Fred Thomas Woodard Jr., a devoted husband, father and son, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, in Newport News, Virginia, the city of his birth. Born on June 21, 1963, Fred had just celebrated his 63rd birthday before leaving this world.

Fred lived with the challenges of being disabled, facing them with quiet strength and dignity.

Preceded in death by his parents, Fred T. Woodard Sr. and Patricia Woodard, Fred leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish his memory. He is survived by his devoted wife, Dedra M. Woodard, his daughter, Aisia Woodard, grandchildren, Jacier and Braylan, step children, Brandon Ferguson and Brittany Young, his brother, Ricardo Woodard and numerous other family members and friends who were touched by his life.

He loved fish and had a large aquarium at home. He also loved football and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan.
