Gary S. Williams, 79, of Virginia Beach passed into eternal happiness on December 7, 2025. He lived a full and wonderful life.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Janelle, of 53 years.

He was proceeded in death by his mother, Ruth W. Culpeper, and his father, Ralph Culpeper. Survivors include his three Brothers, Larry Culpeper of Fredericksburg, Barry Culpeper of Chesapeake, and Jerry Culpeper of Virginia Beach.

Gary enjoyed a long and rewarding career at Norfolk Naval Shipyard for 34 years. He served his apprenticeship in Shop 17 and later was promoted to Shop Superintendent and Project Superintendent retiring in 2000.

He also retired from Virginia Beach Public Schools, a job in which he enjoyed helping many special needs children.

There is going to be a private family memorial service. You can honor Gary by doing an act of kindness.
