George Cecil Jarvis Jr., 81, of Virginia Beach, passed away on March 15, 2025. He was born on October 14, 1943, to Oza Belle Ferrell and George Cecil Jarvis Sr. in Norfolk, VA.

George was a dedicated local truck driver for over 30 years, primarily working with Shell Oil. His job took him across the area, where he developed lasting friendships and earned the respect of his colleagues. A quiet man with a love for the open road, George spent his free time traveling the United States in his RV, enjoying the solitude and peaceful moments that came with life on the move.

George’s love for spending time alone was balanced by his deep affection for family, although his preference for quiet reflection often took him on solitary journeys. He will be remembered for his calm nature, hardworking spirit, and the peace he found in the simple things in life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Oza Belle Jarvis and George Cecil Jarvis Sr.; his wife, Starlene Jarvis; his sister, Fannie C. Dunlap; and his brother, Gene Cates.

He is survived by one niece and three nephews who will miss him dearly.
