George Joseph Switzer, a resident of Virginia Beach, VA, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2025, at the age of 90. He was born on May 10, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY, and lived a life marked by dedication to his work and family.

George served his country honorably in the United States Army before embarking on a career in the transportation industry. His commitment and hard work were evident throughout his professional life. In addition to his career, George was a devoted philanthropist, contributing generously to causes close to his heart.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Florence (Fennimore) Switzer and George Joseph Switzer Sr. He is survived by his cherished son, George Joseph Switzer III, grandson, George J Switzer IV and granddaughter, Samantha Switzer, who will carry forward his legacy with love and respect.

George's presence will be deeply missed by those who knew him, and his memory will be forever treasured by his family and friends.
