Obituary For Gloria Dixon Knight

Gloria Dixon Knight

January 10, 1945 - January 6, 2025

Gloria Dixon Knight, aged 79 of Virginia Beach, VA, quietly fell asleep in death January 6, 2025.

A Memorial gathering of friends and family will be announced and conducted at a future date.

Her non-nonsense, tenacious spirit and independence will certainly will live on in the lives and hearts of her many friends and family, but especially in that of her children Major Jr., Karl Anthony, and Kimsherri. She’ll forever be “Nanna” to Kevin, Donte’, Michael, Arron, Xavier, Iyonna, Marq, Devin, Hannah, and Ava. Among others we truly miss, she was pre-deceased by her father, George Henry Dixon, mother, Elizabeth Ann Jackson, daughter, Yvette Denene, and grandchildren William Anthony, Brandon Matthew, and Paris Yvette.

We will always be grateful to the friends, family, congregations, and medical staff who has helped her and the family through some pretty tough times, especially recently, and we look forward to the times ahead when sickness and death will be things of the past.

This was my homie, I love this woman to death. Not only did I spend nights at her house but she took me shopping, cuz my sister didn't buy me clothes, so every time I went there she treated me like a queen, and have my cousins Kim and sissy hold me down so she can give me kisses, I laughed and act like I didn't like it, but I love the attention bcuz I did not get that at home. We baked cookies and cooked pork chops and she taught me how to make the pork chops tender, I mean she made the best pork chops, I'll miss her forever until we meet again. I can simply write a book on this lady with no bad nothing in it, it was all good. I would call her and she answer and I would say, how my beautiful auntie doing and she would laugh and we would talk and talk, I can't have them no more. I'm gonna miss her, but god don't make no mistakes but until I see see her again, rest auntie and know that your Wanda, in which she call me will love and miss you for ever... kissesxoxoxo

It's true my Auntie Glo was indeed a no-nonsense lady and I got my behind whooped a few times for doing things I shouldn't have done! But that didn't stop me from begging to spend the weekends at her house ❤️ It was a second home to me just to be around her, Uncle Major and my cousins Bub,Sis,Kim & Tone ❤️ Auntie Glo was also sweet to me sharing her Nutter Butters mixed with HUGS & KISSES too ❤️ We even played games (spoons) , Monopoly... and She's gave me my own kids Bible and took me with the family to the Kingdom Hall to teach me about Jehovah among the others ❤️ Rest now Auntie Glo ❤️ I will never forget you ❤️ All My Love , Your Niece Angelique ❤️
